Kadın Yöneticilerin Karşılaştıkları Cam Tavan Sendromu Deneyimlerinin İncelenmesi
Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the obstacles faced by women administrators in schools and to develop solutions for these obstacles. It is thought that the results of this research will be useful for women who are considering to be administrators in schools and / or who are currently working as administrators. Qualitative research method was used in the study. The study group of the research consists of 3 English, 2 Classroom teachers, 1 Geography and 1 Information Technologies female school administrators working in Salihli district of Manisa province in 2021-2022 academic year. A semi-structured interview form was used as a data collection tool. The research data was completed by transcribing the audio-recorded interviews in face-to-face interviews with school principals. The data were analyzed by content analysis technique, one of the qualitative research methods. In the research, it was determined that some of the problems faced by female administrators through the examination of their experiences of glass ceiling syndrome and these problems are in the form of lack of communication, lack of empathy, negative prejudice against them and feelings of devaluation against the female administrator.
