Eğitimde Stratejik Liderlik Modellerine Yönelik Okul Yöneticilerinin Görüşleri
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to examine school administrators' views on strategic leadership models in education. The study employed a phenomenological design, one of the qualitative research methods, and semi-structured interviews were conducted with 15 school administrators. Content analysis technique was used to analyze the data. The results showed that school administrators associated strategic leadership with long-term planning and visionary perspective. Administrators particularly indicated that they found transformational leadership and visionary leadership models effective. However, they expressed that they faced challenges in terms of resource inadequacy, bureaucratic obstacles, and time management. The research findings revealed that in-service training for developing school administrators' strategic leadership skills should be increased and more autonomy should be provided in strategic planning processes.
