Okul Yöneticilerin Stres Kaynaklarına İlişkin Görüşleri
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the opinions of school administrators regarding work stress sources. Stress reduces the efficiency of the individual and seriously negatively affects human health, productivity and organizational climate. In order to minimize these negativities experienced in schools, it is necessary to identify the sources and symptoms of stress, to investigate the effects of stress on managers' job performance, to take necessary precautions regarding the individual and organizational implementation of stress management, and to inform managers about this issue. Qualitative research method was used in this study, which aims to determine the sources of stress of school administrators. The population of the research consists of school administrators in the central districts of Ankara in the 2016-2017 academic year. Maximum diversity sampling and criterion sampling, which are purposive sampling methods, were used together in the sample selection of the research. As a result of this study, the findings obtained; It seems that school administrators' sources of stress towards teachers are mostly due to the personal characteristics of the teachers. According to most of the participants, the inadequacy of teachers' sense of responsibility creates stress on school administrators. Additionally, as a result of the study, the relationship between job stress of education managers and productivity can be investigated. The sources affecting the job satisfaction of educational administrators can be investigated multifactorially in large samples at all levels of educational institutions, etc. suggestions were made.
