Öğrencilerin Okuma Alışkanlığı Kazanmasında Çocuk Edebiyatının Rolü Üzerine Sınıf Öğretmenlerinin Görüşleri
Abstract
In this study, it is aimed to examine the views of classroom teachers on the role of children's literature in the acquisition of reading habits by primary school students. For this purpose, interviews were conducted with classroom teachers and the question "What is the role of children's literature in the acquisition of reading habits by primary school students?" search for an answer to the question. The case study pattern, one of the qualitative research models, was used as a model in the research. The sample of the research consists of 12 classroom teachers working in primary schools in Arsuz district of Hatay province in the 2022-2023 academic year with the criterion sampling method, which is one of the purposeful sampling types. In the study, the interview form was used to determine the role of children's literature in the acquisition of reading habits by primary school students in terms of classroom teacher views in an in-depth and comprehensive manner. The interview form, which includes open-ended questions, is called "Interview Form on the Role of Children's Literature in Gaining Reading Habits". The data of the research were analyzed by content analysis method. In the study, it was determined that children's literature played a role in the acquisition of reading habits by primary school students according to the opinions of classroom teachers.
